Jharkhand: Police gets big success, gang involved in robbing trains exposed, 15 criminals including two women arrested

Latehar: Jharkhand’s Latehar Police has claimed to have eliminated a gang involved in road and rail robbery. Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan said in a press conference held in the auditorium of his office on Thursday that on the night of February 7, at around 7.30 pm, secret information was received that about 14 people were found dead in a deserted place on the road leading to Tupu village in the southern direction of Latehar Railway Station. -15 people with criminal tendencies have gathered. After verification of the information, a team was formed and the raid was conducted at night. As soon as they saw the police, everyone started running, but the police chased them away and arrested ten people. The arrested people told that they were planning to rob the Palamu Express train passing through this railway section late at night. Five other criminals have been arrested on their information. These include two women.

49 thousand cash also recovered along with jewelery

Many weapons, cartridges, two Bolero vehicles and eight motorcycles including three country-made pistols and two country-made carbines have been recovered from the robbers. Apart from this, looted gold and silver jewellery, Rs 49 thousand in cash have been recovered. He told that the same gang had looted the Jammu Tawi Express train in Barwadih-Barkakana railway section on the night of 23 September. Apart from this, on the night of 22 January, MP representative Vineet Madhukar was robbed.
