Jharkhand News: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) presented IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan, arrested in the case of purchase and sale of land by forging documents, in the court of PMLA Special Judge PK Sharma on Friday. The court has sent Chhavi Ranjan to Birsa Munda Central Jail in judicial custody for one day. During this, the ED sought a remand of five days from the court, but the court sent him to judicial custody. Now on Saturday, May 6, he will appear in the court again.

ED arrested Chhavi Ranjan on Thursday night

Let us inform that after a long interrogation of 10 hours, ED arrested Chhavi Ranjan on Thursday night. After this, he was presented in the PMLA court on Friday. Due to Buddha Purnima, there was talk of presenting him in the residence of the special judge located in Judge Colony instead of the court, but he appeared in the court of the special judge of PMLA.

Wife and lawyer had reached to meet Chhavi Ranjan

Before the arrest of Chhavi Ranjan on Thursday night, his wife was called to the ED office to meet him. After waiting for some time, his wife left from there. During this, Chhavi Ranjan’s advocate also reached the ED office. After meeting his client, the advocate did not explain anything in detail. Had just left saying to meet his client.

Chhavi Ranjan was presented in PMLA court instead of judge colony

There was a lot of commotion outside the ED office since Friday morning. In the morning food came from Chhavi Ranjan’s house. Doctors also reached to check his health. After examining the health of Chhavi Ranjan, the doctor said that the condition is normal. After this there was talk of taking Chhavi Ranjan to the judge’s colony. But, at the last moment, the ED produced Chhavi Ranjan in the court of the Special Judge of PMLA instead of Judge’s Colony.

Chhavi Ranjan embroiled in documents related to land scam

Let us tell you that during its investigation, the ED found facts related to Chhavi Ranjan’s cordial relationship with those who forged the land documents, including Prem Prakash, who was marked as a power broker, and helped them. During ED’s interrogation on Thursday, Chhavi Ranjan proved himself innocent and kept blaming all the allegations on his subordinate employees. At the same time, Chhavi Ranjan also denied meeting Prem Prakash. However, Chhavi Ranjan got confused in the questions asked by showing the documents related to the land scam.
