Jharkhand: Officers reached leprosy colony to know the ground reality of voter registration, special campaign will run from November 28

Ranchi: Ranchi Physical inspection of the voter registration process was conducted in Indira Nagar Leprosy Colony on Tuesday. Senior officials of the Chief Election Office, along with the election team of Ranchi district, tried to know the physical status of voter registration of members of leprosy patient families by going door-to-door in Indira Leprosy Colony, Jagannathpur. During this time, officials went door-to-door to find out whether any eligible voter was being left out. A campaign will be run for marginal voters from 28th November to 3rd December. A week-long campaign will be run for the registration of primitive tribes, very elderly people, disabled people and homeless people. Officials said that many special campaigns will be run from November 28 to December 3 for voters of various marginal sections of the society like primitive tribes, disabled people, shelterless, elderly voters etc. During this intensive campaign, the Deputy Commissioner and other senior officials of all the districts including the Chief Electoral Officer will also participate in this campaign at their respective levels.
