In February 2023, NIA had filed supplementary charge sheet against 01 accused Ajay Singh Bhokta s/o Jagdish Singh Bhokta u/s 120B, 121A, 364, 471 & 302 of IPC, u/s 25(1A) & 27 of Arms Act, u/s 27 . And during its investigation, the NIA had found the involvement of CPI (Maoist) commanders in the assassination plot. Weapons and vehicles used in the murder were also recovered.

Here, on Wednesday morning, the Bihar NIA team raided the house of Maoist State Committee member Abhijit Yadav and sub-zonal commander Ram Prasad Yadav in Palamu district. The NIA team had searched various documents in the houses of both the Maoists. Maoist Abhijeet Yadav is a resident of Bandhudih village under Chhatarpur police station area, while Prasad Yadav is from Bagaiya village of Chhatarpur police station area. The Jharkhand government had placed a reward of 10 lakh on top Maoist Abhijit Yadav and five lakh on Prasad Yadav.
