Jharkhand News: The police of Khunti district adjacent to Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) area commander Rata alias Rohit Topno has been arrested. Rania police have recovered a pistol, four bullets, PLFI form and donation receipt from him. This information was given by Khunti SDPO Amit Kumar in a press conference on Wednesday.

The SDPO of Khunti told that Rata aka Rohit Topno Along with his members, he used to travel to Udikeel, Kherkhai, Belsia, Jarakel etc. villages of Rania. He was engaged in collecting levy and expanding the organization. On the basis of secret information, under the leadership of Inspector Digvijay Singh, the District Police and CRPF 94 Battalion Camp Rania raided and arrested him.
A dozen cases are registered against PLFI’s Area Commander Rata
The SDPO said that he has a prior criminal history. A dozen cases are registered against him in Murhu, Karra, Torpa, Khunti police station area. He was active in PLFI since 2015. In the year 2016, he went to jail under the Arms Act. After this he came out of jail in the year 2020. After this he again joined the organization. He carried out many incidents. Roto alias Rohit Topno was involved in several robbery and dacoity cases.
Police and CRPF jointly launched the campaign
SDPO told that PLFI was expanding. Inspector Digvijay Singh, Assistant Commandant of CRPF 94 Battalion Camp Rania, K James Rangmei, Rania police station in-charge Satyajit Kumar, Sandeep Kumar and armed forces personnel were involved in the operation to arrest him.

Area Commander Shiv Gudiya, Rata alias Rohit was the master of artillery. A complaint came against him from Rata’s village. The villagers alleged that Shiv Gudiya misbehaves with the villagers. On this Rata shot and killed his guru and commander Shiv Gudiya. According to the police, the incident is of the year 2020. However, the body of Shiv Gudiya could never be recovered. After this incident Rata also became a famous name in the area.
