Jharkhand: More than Rs 50 crore spent on decoration of Maa Durga’s court in Ranchi, Durga festival at more than 450 places

Ranchi: Kalash Yatra, with Nav Patrika entry Durga Puja The doors of the pandals opened on Saptami. The court of Maa Durga started buzzing with devotees. There will be a puja-like atmosphere all around in the capital Ranchi for the next three days. As soon as the doors of all the pandals opened on Saturday, devotees flocked to have darshan of Maa Durga. As the day passed on Saturday, the splendor of the puja pandals was increasing. As the evening approached, the idol of the Mother Goddess installed in colorful lights and attractive pandals was visible in its grand form. There was a steady stream of devotees coming to the puja pandals till late night. The grandeur of the puja has increased due to the pleasant weather. More than Rs 50 crore has been spent on decorating Maa’s court in the capital itself. The expenses of fair and market are different. Many pandals in the capital have spent Rs 60-65 lakh only on decorating the court of Maa. The cost of even small puja pandals is around Rs 10 lakh. Mother’s court is decorated at more than 450 places across the capital. There are 158 puja pandals in the municipal corporation area.

Artists from every corner of the country had gathered in Ranchi.

On Saptami, before the opening of Maa’s doors, Maa’s court is decorated and ready. Some puja pandals start opening for darshan of the Mother Goddess from Panchami-Shashthi, but most of the puja pandals in urban and rural areas of the capital Ranchi open for darshan only on Saptami day. Artists who came to Ranchi from every corner of the country were engaged in this work for several months. The construction of the puja pandal located at Harmu Panch temple was going on for several months. Here the model of Shri Lakshminarayan Temple of Ahmedabad has been made. The artists who came from Hooghly, Bengal were busy giving its final shape for several months.

Rajasthan Mitra Mandal’s pandal was being built since July

The pandal of Rajasthan Mitra Mandal Upper Bazaar was being built since July. An imaginary temple has been built here. The pandals prepared by women artists of Medininagar, West Bengal are the center of attraction for the people. It has taken more than two months to build the Goat Market Pandal located at the Youth Union. Here the artists have brought the Chakravyuh alive. The thermocol workmanship on the Beti Bachao theme in the puja pandal located at the railway station is tremendous. The artists have given a grand look to the pandal prepared on the theme of rebirth at RR Sporting on Ratu Road. There is more work of ply, beat and thermocol in the pandals. Apart from this, the color of the clothes has been chosen based on the theme.
