Jharkhand: Mistake in list issued for transfer of teachers, will be rectified

Improvement will be made in the list issued for transfer of teachers in primary and middle schools of the state. The calculation of surplus teachers to student ratio in the school will be in accordance with the provision of the Right to Education Act. So that the minimum criteria for the posting of teachers in schools can be fulfilled. According to the provision of the Right to Education Act, it is mandatory to have at least two teachers for classes one to five and at least three teachers for classes six to eight.

Before the year 2011, teachers appointed in the state were appointed for classes one to eight. While after 2011, separate teachers are appointed for classes one to five and six to eight. The teacher appointed before the year 2011 will be considered as the teacher of class one to five and the surplus teacher will be calculated. A list of surplus teachers was issued regarding the transfer of teachers. There was a discrepancy in this. Teachers’ organizations had demanded improvement in this. Improvement will be done at the district level in the list issued for the transfer of teachers.

Application in the same class for the appointment of Assistant Professor

In the appointment of Assistant Professor in the state, a candidate can submit application for only one category. Separate applications are being submitted for classes one to five and six to eight in primary and middle schools in the state. To submit the application, it is mandatory for the candidate to have passed the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test. Those candidates who have passed the eligibility test in both class one to five, six to eight, are also allowed to submit applications in only one of the two. Candidates are demanding permission to submit applications in both the categories.
