Many former MLAs, former ministers and former MPs are also taking advantage of this. The revelation came after the company alloted a house to Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta. East Singhbhum Almost all the public representatives of the district are availing the facility of company quarter. Tata Steel has recently provided 51 KD flat to Minister Banna Gupta. After renovating it, it will be handed over to the minister. Apart from the MP of Jamshedpur, MLAs of Jamshedpur East and West, MLAs from rural areas have also taken quarters from Tata Steel. However, he has got this facility for the first time.
Judicial officers first got quarters, later government bungalow
District Judge, CJM and other judicial officials have been given government bungalows in Judge Colony. Before this everyone lived in Tata Steel quarters. In view of the matter of justice, a new colony was formed after the question of taking benefits from the company arose. Apart from the District Judge, a separate house was built for the CJM.
Company bid- Allocation to public representatives as per need
In the matter of allotment of quarters to the honorable people, the company says that the quarters are allotted to the public representatives as per the need and demand. A decision on this is taken after reviewing the demand.
MP Vidyut Varan Mahato in the quarter allotted to another
MP Vidyut Varan Mahato has also availed this facility. They live in quarters allotted in the names of their acquaintances and relatives and also run their offices from there. The ancestral home and family property of the MP is in Seraikela-Kharsawan district.
Odisha Governor Raghuvar Das is also availing the facility
Company quarter is also allotted in Jamshedpur in the name of former Chief Minister and present Governor of Odisha Raghuvar Das. He has been in the company quarter since before becoming MLA. After becoming a minister and Chief Minister of Jharkhand, the number of company quarters has increased to six.
Government officials also live in company quarters
Government officials also live in the quarters of Tata Steel. DC, SSP, City SP, Rural SP, Income Tax Officer, Railway SP etc. live in company quarters. Tata Steel also maintains these quarters of government quota. However, the applications of many government employees regarding quarter allotment are pending. Many employees are not getting quarters.
