Suryakund fair, the famous religious tourist place of Barkatha, Chhotanagpur, was inaugurated today. The inauguration was done by Chief Guest Minister Baby Devi, Union Minister of State for Education cum Koderma MP Annapurna Devi and Barkatta MLA Amit Kumar Yadav. Zip President Umesh Kumar Mehta, Vice President Kishun Yadav, Zip member Prerna Priya, Chief Renu Devi, Deputy Chief Surji Devi, Chief Lalita Devi, Block Twenty Point President Pradeep Kumar Prasad, JMM leader Yasin Khan were present on the occasion. Minister Baby Devi appealed to the youth to run the fair in a peaceful manner. He also said that he should inform the Chief Minister of the state about the development of Suryakund. Minister Annapurna Devi said that Makar Sankranti is a very auspicious day when a fair is organized at the religious tourist spot Suryakund.

Tourists started arriving in Suryakund Fair
Barkatta. With the inauguration of Suryakund Fair today, the arrival of tourists has started. Suryakund fair is organized from 14 to 31 January on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Apart from Hazaribagh, Koderma, Giridih, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ramgarh districts, thousands of people from other states also reach Suryakund with their families during the fair. This year, Maa Vaishno Devi’s Cave, New India Theatre, Maruti Death Well, Magician, Break Dance Swing, Tora Tora, Dragon Swing, Russian Tower Swing, Budgie Budgie Chitrahar, Science Art, Meena Bazaar will be the center of attraction in the Suryakund fair. At the same time, shops of all types of items made of iron, stone and wood for domestic use and statues of different types of Gods and Goddesses, Prasad and other items used in worship have been set up in the temple premises.
