On February 21, 2022, a large quantity of arms and ammunition of Maoists were seized in Peshar of Lohardaga. In this case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet against 16 accused including a woman on Saturday. Earlier on May 18, 2022, the Jharkhand Police had filed a charge sheet against the nine accused under various sections.
In this way, charge sheet has been filed against a total of 25 accused in this case. The NIA investigation revealed that the armed cadres and members of the banned organization CPI (Maoist) had hatched a conspiracy to carry out violent and illegal activities and endanger the security of India. Their plan was to destabilize the democratically elected government by carrying out violent attacks.
Significantly, on June 14, 2022, the NIA took over the case and registered the case and started the investigation. According to the agency, the arrest and recovery of the Maoists took place after a raid in the forest area of Bulbul. At that time the Maoists’ regional commander Ravindra Ganjhu, active cadre Balram Oraon, Muneshwar Ganjhu, Balak Ganjhu, Dinesh Nagesia, Aghnu Ganjhu, Lajim Ansari, Markush Nagesia were with them. Sanjay Nageshia, Sheela Kherwar, Lalita Devi and around 40-60 others had assembled to plot and plan violent attacks on security forces and bauxite mines in the area. After getting the information, the local police and CRPF launched a joint operation.

Their plan was to avenge the arrest of top CPI (Maoist) leader Prashant Bose in Seraikela. The intention of the organization was to carry out violent incidents against the security forces and the police.
