Jharkhand Lok Sabha Elections: Age is becoming an obstacle in front of MP PN Singh, these contenders are from Dhanbad seat

Anand Mohan, Ranchi:

Dhanbad parliamentary seat is a stronghold of the BJP. Such an impenetrable fort, that even after panting a lot, the opponents are not able to destroy it. With the tide of Ram Janmabhoomi, the BJP made such inroads in Dhanbad that the red flag that reached the Parliament with the help of late AK Rai, a strong communist leader in this area, was also uprooted. After 1984, Congress was evicted from the land in such a way that after 20 years it won in 2004 (only once). The meaning is clear that the one who holds the lotus symbol in Dhanbad, it is considered certain to reach Delhi.

From caste equation to outer-inner formula:

Current MP PN Singh became MP for the third time in a row, while before him Prof. Rita Verma was MP for four consecutive terms. Present MP PN Singh should not be an opponent this time, but his age should not become an obstacle. There is a heated discussion within the BJP that the age limit drawn by the central leadership should not close the chapter on the parliamentary future of the present MP. On the other hand, there have been many contenders in the BJP between yes and no for PN Singh’s ticket. Some have faith in their own equation. In Dhanbad, there is a formula from caste equation to outsider-insider.

Sunil Singh, a two-time MP from Chatra parliamentary seat, is also in the race for the ticket from Dhanbad. Many MLAs are also in the race. At the same time, former mayor Chandrashekhar Agarwal has also come forward as a strong contender. Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha is walking from Dhanbad to Delhi for ticket. He has also been roaming in the entire Dhanbad parliamentary constituency for one or two years.

The name of Bokaro MLA Biranchi Narayan is also discussed in the politics of Dhanbad. MLA Dhulu Mahto is oscillating between Giridih and Dhanbad. Although Dhulu Mahto’s first priority is Giridih. On the other hand Amar Bauri, MLA from Chandankiyari has his own equation. Some leaders of the party are also with them, but getting ticket is not an easy game in Dhanbad’s politics and caste equation. Former mayor Chandrashekhar Agarwal has been an angle in the politics of Dhanbad.

Better performance in the mayoral election is considered to be his strong base. But the people inside the party are trying to block their way. His tussle with MLA Raj Sinha is not hidden from anyone. Ragini Singh (Singh Mansion), wife of BJP leader and former MLA Sanjeev Singh Singh, also wants to try her luck in the parliamentary elections. Gopal Singh, former chairman of Coal India, is also presenting his claim in front of top leaders of the state from time to time in the Dhanbad parliamentary elections. He is also active in the field.

Saryu Rai’s name keeps popping up

Saryu Rai’s name keeps popping up in the politics of Dhanbad. Although Mr. Rai himself rejects the talk of contesting from Dhanbad, BJP people say that his return home is not easy. Saryu Rai will have to face opposition from many big leaders before joining BJP and the high command may not be ready for this. By the way, his closeness with BJP leaders has increased in recent times.

UPA looking for a strong candidate

On the other hand, UPA will be looking for a strong candidate in this stronghold of BJP. In the last election, former cricketer Kirti Azad lost to PN Singh by about five lakh votes. In such a situation, this seat is a big challenge for the UPA alliance. Ajay Dubey, son of former MP Dadai Dubey, is considered a strong candidate from this seat. He is also close to in-charge Avinash Pandey. On the other hand, Jharia MLA Poornima Neeraj Singh challenged the BJP by winning the assembly seat. Poornima Neeraj Singh can be a natural contender of UPA in this situation. State President Rajesh Thakur and Zilla Parishad member Ashok Singh are also believed to be involved in the election race.
