It was presided over by the chairman of the committee, Fuyum Ansari. During this, local MLA Amba Prasad, the patron of the committee, was also present on the spot and buses filled with outside workers were stopped. While investigating this, the MLA found that the buses were filled with workers from other districts and states. This made the MLA very angry. After this, MLA Amba Prasad stopped the bus full of outside workers and staged a protest by sitting on the road itself.

They are being denied jobs by the companies just by giving false assurances. Now this will not work. The company will have to give jobs to the local people. At present, people coming from different states are working in the company. For which only mining companies are responsible.

Talks with AGM of Triveni Sainik

When the buses were stopped by the agitators, AGM Uttam Jha and other office bearers came to the site for talks on behalf of the company, as a representative of Triveni Sainik, they said that we should be given some time. In which we will be able to connect the local people with employment by sorting out the outsiders by investigating in our own way and in this context a clear outline will be prepared to keep the local, so that how many people, when and how will be hired . Only then the outsiders will be removed.

I am also ready to make every sacrifice to provide employment to the local people. Top officials of NTPC and their subordinate companies have never been alert about employment. The company management has always been exploiting the local people. That’s why the company should do the work of giving jobs to the local people as soon as possible, otherwise after August 25, if the company tries to cheat, not a single outside worker will be allowed to enter the mining area from Dhenga and Sikri. Only the work of ensuring employment to the local people of Barkagaon will be done.
