Ranchi: Alleging deepening land problems in Latehar, looting of their land by many ryots, illegal purchase and sale by manipulation of documents, a 20-member group of ryots and original land holders from Latehar under the leadership of former minister Bandhu Tirkey Met Amitabh Kaushal, Secretary, Department of Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms and handed over the memorandum regarding his demands.

According to Bandhu Tirkey, former minister and working president of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, secretary Amitabh Kaushal has assured him that the land problems in Latehar will be resolved soon and in this regard he has been directed by the departmental minister and the chief secretary of the state. Bandhu Tirkey said that according to the decision taken in the meeting of the Council of Ministers on October 25, 2019, all the land falling within the local limits of the seven circles of Latehar district, Balumath, Barwadih, Mahuatand, Chandwa, Manika, Garu and Latehar revenue villages Land survey was to be done at the state level, but due to non-compliance till now many serious problems have arisen. He said that under this, the name of each land-holder or tenant, class determination of each tenant, Mundari, Khuntkattidar, permanent ryot, occupying ryot, non-occupier ryot, Khuntkatti entitled ryot, every ryot with one or more limit of rate ryot And along with registering the situation, boundary etc. of the encroacher, many other instructions were given.

Bandhu Tirkey said that detailed land survey and classification was very important from many points of view, but the reality is that no land survey was done in all the seven zones of Latehar district, due to which there were many problems at the ground level. Tension is increasing in many families and society too due to the continuation of discrepancies. On the other hand, many unwanted elements are doing their will with the connivance of some concerned government officials and employees, the result of which is being suffered by all.
These are the demands of the ryots
Among the other demands of the ryots, proper completion of the process of publication of Kishtwar, Khanapuri, draft publication, Banda Parcha in Latehar, investigation of khatian being made in the name of someone else instead of the name of the ryot in whose name the land is held Getting the common land like pond, drain, road registered in the name of a ryot and checking and canceling it, along with establishing the name of the ryot who received land from land auction, kewala, endowment in Khatian, as well as Khatiani ryot Marking of wrong caste, non-recording of sharer’s name in Khatian, religious, social and cultural land of tribals Sarna, Jaher Than, Deshawali, Devasthan, Masna, Hadgadi, Dalikatari, Bhutkheta, Panhai, Mattoi, Pinbhora, Kotwari Maid, Jatra Registering Sthal, Akhara, Dhumkudiya, Bakast, Munda etc. in the name of a ryot and the possibility of illegal purchase and sale of that land, adding the name of the sharer to the self-acquired property, survey Khatian and the same ryot in the map – In case of separate acreage being recorded, SC and other caste names being registered in one account in Khatian, CS and RS of the same land being recorded as Gairmajrua of the land in Khatian, under Section 87 of the CNT, grant recognition to the same land as tenant.
