Jharkhand News: In many panchayats of Karon block under Deoghar district, irregularities in MNREGA are continuously coming to the fore. In the investigation, the state-level team had found major irregularities in MNREGA in Birgadiya and Nagadari panchayat of Karon block, after which, on the instructions of Shail Kumar Kujur, Joint Secretary, Rural Development Department, DDC did a show-cause to AE and JE including Karon BDO Kuldeep Kumar. .
Many flaws were found in the investigation
On the complaint of social worker Kumar Vinod, the state level investigation team had conducted site investigation in these two panchayats four months ago. In the investigation, irregularities were found in other schemes of MNREGA including cattle shed including well construction. The team has also found flaws in the MB book of many schemes in checking the records. In the investigation, the matter of giving benefits of many schemes to the same beneficiary has come to the fore. Extortion of money has been found in Birangadiya Panchayat in the scheme of well. After the return of the investigation team, while taking action against the personnel involved in these irregularities, the BDO was also instructed to do a show-cause. On the instructions of Joint Secretary, DDC Dr. Tarachand has started action. Earlier, engineers and MNREGA workers including BDOs have been show-caused.
Departmental action has been recommended against Karon BDO
Here, departmental action has been recommended from the level of DDC and DC to the Rural Development Department against Karaun BDO Kuldeep Kumar, a month ago, after a discrepancy was found in another case in MNREGA. Dindakoli Mukhiya Ravi Das, Ranidih Mukhiya Anjali Marandi and Saltar Mukhiya Renu Devi, AE, JE, BPO Pankaj along with a fine of about one lakh rupees by DDC after irregularities in MNREGA scheme selection were exposed in Karon Block’s Dindakoli, Ranidih and Saltar Panchayats Paswan was removed from the charge of MNREGA and the report of departmental action against BDO was sent to the government.
