Jharkhand: Jal Yatra started for conservation of water, forest and land in Pakur, trying to make people aware

Jharkhand News: The five-day Jal Yatra was started by the Jharkhand Development Council from the Amdapada block premises of Pakur. During this, BDO Divesh Kumar Dwivedi, BEEO Srinath Thakur, SI Premchand, CDPO Bobby Kumari inaugurated the program by showing the green flag. The organization’s secretary Subhashini Soren said that the purpose of this water journey is to create public consensus regarding water, forest, land, animals and water conservation and to emphasize on water conservation. Along with this, a platform has to be provided to the villagers, panchayat representatives, village heads for water conservation. The purpose of this water journey is to create an environment for water conservation.

The BDO said that soil erosion, water crisis, heavy cutting of trees and lack of timely rains all indicate the danger of the environment. That’s why water conservation is necessary for us to make the environment friendly.

Somnath Mukherjee said that until we together do not make efforts for environmental protection and promotion, we will have to face the water crisis. Jal Yatra will pass through 64 villages of eight panchayats

On the other hand, Manoranjan Singh told that the Jal Yatra will pass through six panchayats of Amdapara block and eight panchayats of Maheshpur block, a total of 64 villages, where street plays and public meetings will be addressed. The Jal Yatra will end on April 7 at Nargi Tola in Maheshpur. Manoj Kumar Thakur told that the yatra will end at Salpatra from block office via Fatehpur, Jhumarchir, Nipania, Ambajoda, Jitko in the evening.
