Rural areas are more affected by cold

The havoc of cold is more in rural areas. The temperature in cities has dropped by three to four degrees Celsius. Due to falling temperature, dew drops have started freezing. Due to falling mercury in Kanke also, dew drops were seen frozen like ice at many places. The same situation was seen at many places in McCluskieganj. The minimum temperature of McCluskieganj was around 4.5 degrees Celsius. Drops of dew have started appearing on the fields, barns and plants in Chinatand of McCluskieganj. People going for morning walk said that it was very cold on Tuesday morning. He saw drops of dew frozen on the straw and leaves of plants.

Disaster Management Department issued advisory

– Wear multilayer clothes, wear a cap when leaving the house

– Try to keep the house warm, use curtains, shutters etc.

– Eat enough food, drink lukewarm water, eat more protein food

– Use only home-made food items, try to eat hot food

– Elderly people and children should avoid leaving the house in the morning and evening.

– Do light irrigation in crops, smoke around vegetable fields
