Jharkhand: Human trafficking victim Saranda’s daughter recovered from Delhi, one trafficker arrested, another absconding

Manoharpur (West Singhbhum), Radhesh Singh Raj: A girl victim of human trafficking from Duiya village of Saranda area under West Singhbhum district has been recovered from Paschim Vihar area of ​​Delhi. Saranda’s daughter had become a victim of human trafficking two years ago. Chhota Nagra police station in-charge Umashankar Verma recovered this girl from the house of Paschim Vihar resident Vaibhav Gupta with the help of Paschim Vihar police station of Delhi. On Saturday evening, he was presented at the CWC in Chaibasa, from where he was handed over to his relatives after completing the necessary formalities.

One arrested in human trafficking case, another absconding

According to the police, a daughter of Duiya village had become a victim of human trafficking on June 2021. In this case, the police has already arrested Alvis Topno, a resident of Bandu village of Guddi police station area and sent him to jail. On his tip, the victim was recovered from Paschim Vihar in Delhi, while another named accused in the case, Mandru Champia, a resident of Chhota Nagra police station, is still absconding.

Saranda’s daughter used to work as a maid in Delhi

Police sources said that on the instructions of Chaibasa SP Ashutosh Shekhar, a team was formed by Manoharpur subdivision police officer Ajit Kujur regarding the recovery of the girl. The team recovered the girl from Vaibhav Gupta’s house. The girl used to work as a maid at Vaibhav’s place. In this case, a case was registered against Vaibhav Gupta in Paschim Vihar police station.

Two girls were kidnapped

Two years ago, two girls were abducted by human traffickers from Duiya village of Saranda. Mandru Champia, a resident of Kumbiya village of Chhota Nagra Panchayat, and his associate Albis Topno played an important role in this matter. It was told that after taking the train from Manoharpur to Delhi, both the girls were sold. During this, the relatives of both the girls did a lot of research, but could not find anywhere. After that they stopped the search. On March 10 this year, human trafficker Mandru Champia fled from Delhi leaving a seriously ill daughter at Manoharpur station. The sick daughter somehow reached her brother’s house from Manoharpur station. Due to the serious condition, his family members admitted him to Manoharpur Hospital for treatment, where the doctors replied that he was suffering from TB and the condition was serious. After a few days this girl died. Then the action started after the case was registered.
