Jharkhand: High speed highway wreaks havoc, retired army man dies in road accident, daughter-in-law’s condition critical

Chaibasa, Bhagirathi Mahato: An elderly man has died in a road accident on the Chaibasa-Tata main road in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, while a woman has been seriously injured. It is being told that a speeding highway went out of control and entered a house in Baduri village on Wednesday evening. In this incident, 75-year-old Manmohan Kudada, who was sleeping on a cot inside the house, died on the spot, while his daughter-in-law Chandu Kudada was seriously injured. This incident happened on Wednesday evening at 7.30 pm. The deceased was retired from the army. The police is investigating the matter.

The speeding highway entered the house

Local people said that the uncontrolled highway broke one house and entered another house. The people around were frightened by its loud sound. Didn’t people know what happened? After that, when people came out and saw, they found that a hyva had gone out of control and entered the house. After this incident, a crowd of villagers gathered on the spot and caught the fleeing driver. After getting the news of the incident, the owner of Haiva also reached the spot and the angry villagers caught hold of him also.

The injured woman was brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment. His condition remains critical. People told that the highway driver was drunk. Deceased Manmohan Kudada was an army retiree. He was sleeping in a room inside the house. Angry villagers blocked the road.
