Jharkhand High Court seeks reply from the corporation regarding increasing pollution in Dhanbad, next hearing will be on October 30

Jharkhand High Court on Monday heard the PIL filed for prevention of increasing air, noise and coal pollution in Dhanbad city. The division bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Anand Sen heard the applicant’s side during the hearing. After this, the division bench asked the applicant to give a copy of the petition to the advocate of Dhanbad Municipal Corporation and file a reply after taking instructions from the Municipal Corporation. The division bench fixed October 30 for the next hearing of the case. Earlier, advocate Saimitra Baroi appeared on behalf of the applicant. He said that no steps have been taken by the Municipal Corporation to stop pollution. Let us file a petition requesting to make Dhanbad Municipal Corporation a defendant. Dhanbad Municipal Corporation was asked to reply on this. Let us tell you that a PIL has been filed on behalf of the applicant Gramin Ekta Manch Dhanbad. In this, a demand has been made to stop the increasing pollution in Dhanbad city. The applicant has said that if we look at the air quality index of Dhanbad, it is not good. Excessive pollution is visible there.

PM 2.5 level found more than PM 10 in Baniyaheer on Monday evening

In many areas the level of PM 2.5 has been recorded higher than PM 10. On Monday evening, PM 2.5 level was recorded more than 100 micro grams per cubic meter in Baniyaheer. The cleanest air in the city is that of IIT ISM campus. Here PM 10 and PM 2.5 are much less than other areas. The PM 10 level was recorded at 30.12 and the PM 2.5 level was recorded at 5.02 at 7 pm on Monday evening.
