Jharkhand: Gift of Rs 335 crore to Giridih, CM Hemant Soren asked for outstanding balance of Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand crore from the central government.

Giridih: CM of Jharkhand Hemant Soren He said that if the Central Government pays the outstanding amount of Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand crore to the State Government, then many important works can be done for the welfare of the people of the state. The state government is committed to providing housing to lakhs of needy people, a large number of colleges for the education of youth, scholarships to lakhs of students and other public welfare works. He said these things in the ‘Aapki Yojana Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar’ program at Jhanda Maidan in Giridih on Monday. He said that Rs 1200 crore electricity dues have been taken from Jharkhand by the Central Government and there have been cuts in providing electricity, but the state government is moving ahead with the action plan to set up its own power plant soon. In this programme, the foundation stone of 117 schemes worth Rs 305 crore was laid and 20 schemes worth Rs 30 crore were inaugurated. A total of schemes worth Rs 335 crore were inaugurated and foundation stones laid. 64728 beneficiaries were covered under various schemes.
