Jharkhand: Former CM Hemant Soren appears in ED court, sent to Hotwar jail

Ranchi: Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren was presented in the ED court (PMLA Special Court) on Thursday. After this he was sent to Hotwar jail. The ED (Enforcement Directorate) team took him to the ED court. Advocate General Rajeev Ranjan said that Hemant Soren has been sent to jail after the remand period is over. ED arrested on January 31

The ED team had arrested the then CM of Jharkhand and JMM working president Hemant Soren after a long interrogation on January 31, 2024. He is an accused in a money laundering case related to the land scam. 10 summons were sent to him in this case.
