Jharkhand: Eyewash meeting of Congress State Election Committee, high command will decide the name of the candidate.

Ranchi: Congress has started preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. Exercise for candidate selection has started at the state level. A meeting of the 32-member election committee was held on Monday. In the meeting, in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir and state president Rajesh Thakur took opinion from the election committee members on one seat each. This meeting was eyewash. The central leadership was unanimously authorized to select the candidates. Names of three possible candidates were sought from each seat. A format was given to all the members. Three names each had to be given in this. The list of possible candidates has also been given to the election committee by the district heads. The list of candidates decided by the election committee will be sent to the central leadership.

These members of the State Election Committee attended the meeting:Rajesh Thakur, Alamgir Alam, Rameshwar Oraon, Subodh Kant Sahay, Pradeep Balmuchu, Sukhdev Bhagat, Geeta Koda, Bandhu Tirkey, Jaleshwar Mahato, Shahzada Anwar, Furkan Ansari, Banna Gupta, Badal Patralekh, Pradeep Yadav, Deepika Pandey Singh, Kalicharan Munda, Brijendra Singh, Rama Khalkho, Ashek Chaudhary, Bhim Kumar, Sultan Ahmed, Vimla Kumari, Mani Shankar, Niranjan Paswan, Amulya Neeraj Khalkho and Satish Rajak.

District heads also sent their names in the list of candidates

The state committee had also asked for a list of possible candidates from the district. District heads have also sent their names in that list. Most of the district heads are contenders for the ticket. Dr. Kumar Raja and Rakesh Kiran Mahato of Ranchi metropolis have also sent their names to the election committee.
