Jharkhand News: In Manjhagawa panchayat of Giddhaur block under Chatra district, these days preparations for loot are going on in MNREGA works. Dozens of dobhas have been dug with JCB machine in many villages of the panchayat. The board was not installed at the planning site. Dobha is being excavated overnight by machine. First, dobha and pond are being dug using the machine. After this, by showing the fake laborers as laborers in the muster roll, money is being taken out and distributed. Lakhs of rupees are being looted due to the connivance of active middlemen and employment servants in the area.

Most cases in Pindarkon and Gadke village

Pindarkon and Gadke villages of the panchayat have maximum number of such cases. In these villages, the matter of withdrawal of funds by giving new form to many old dobhas is coming to the fore, while at some places payment has been taken in many schemes by showing only one scheme. On the condition of anonymity, a contractor told that this type of work is going on with the connivance of MNREGA workers. It is to be known that before starting the MNREGA works, a board is put up at the planning site. Only after this the work is started in it.

Many dobhas dug on forest land

In Pindarkon and Gadke villages, administrative approval has been received for the construction of several dobhas under MNREGA. After site inspection, the schemes were seen on forest land at many places. Along with this, many dobhas have been dug around 800 meters at many places. Most of the schemes seem to be useless.

Name of two different schemes on two parts of the board

A different situation was seen on a 100/80/10 Dobha made in 2020-21 in Pindarkon village. On a part of the notice board installed here, information was found about the construction of Dobha in the field of Narendra Yadav at a cost of four lakh 70 thousand. On turning the second part of the board, the information about the construction of Dobha in Vikramjit Singh’s farm with the same cost was mentioned. The case appeared to be linked to payment in two schemes by showing one scheme.

Action will be taken on getting irregularities: BPO

In this regard, BPO Ajay Kumar Sinha told that he will inspect the site. If any kind of irregularity is found, action will be taken against the person concerned.
