Jharkhand: ED will interrogate businessman Vishnu Aggarwal for 4 more days, sought remand for 7 days

Jharkhand News: The ED (Enforcement Directorate) will interrogate Nucleus Mall operator Vishnu Agarwal for four more days in connection with the forgery in the purchase and sale of other land on Cheshire Home Road. The PMLA court in Ranchi gave its permission on Monday. Earlier, after completion of the remand period of five days, the ED produced Vishnu Aggarwal in the court of special PMLA judge Dinesh Rai. During this, the ED’s advocate demanded a remand of seven days from the court stating the need for further inquiry in the land scam. Vishnu Aggarwal’s advocate opposed this. After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court granted remand of four days to the ED to interrogate Vishnu Aggarwal.

ED arrested on July 31

Please tell that after interrogation by ED, Vishnu Agarwal was arrested on July 31, 2023. After this, he was sent to jail in judicial custody by the order of the court. On the request of the ED, the PMLA court had given a remand of five days for the interrogation of Vishnu Aggarwal. The ED was questioning him since August 2.

Vishnu had accepted the mistake in ED’s interrogation

Here, in the earlier interrogation of the ED, businessman Vishnu Aggarwal, who was taken on remand, was questioned in connection with the purchase and sale of the land acquired for the army, the land of Pugadu, the land of Cheshire Home Road and the land of Nucleus Mall. During interrogation, Vishnu Aggarwal has accepted his mistake in the purchase and sale of land occupied by the army. In the case of rest of the land, till now they are trying to declare themselves innocent. During the raid conducted in the case related to the land, the documents of the circle office were found from the house of revenue employee Bhanu Pratap.

Bhanu Pratap, revenue employee of Bargai circle, lodged in Birsa Munda Central Jail, revealed the secrets of the land mafia during interrogation. The ED team was also informed about the nexus between some new land mafia and top officials. Till now, these land mafia, who were out of the purview of ED’s investigation, also made their people fake owners by forgery in government land documents and bought and sold land. The ED interrogated the revenue employee in Birsa Munda Central Jail on August 5 on the orders of the PMLA court.

On the orders of the state government, an FIR was registered in the Sadar police station.

ED had shared the facts found after preliminary investigation in this case with the state government under section 66(2) of PMLA. In this case, an FIR was registered in the Sadar police station on the orders of the government. ED has started its investigation by registering this FIR as CSIR. ED interrogated Bhanu Pratap in the jail in the light of court’s order in this new ECIR case. During interrogation, the revenue employee told the purpose of keeping the documents of the zonal office in the house to help them on the instructions of the land mafia by manipulating it. During interrogation, he has named some other land mafia who have the protection of senior officials. However, ED sources have not made public the names of the people involved in the alliance of the new land mafia and officials due to the adverse impact on the investigation.
