The matter of sale and purchase of land occupied by the army

The ED, during the investigation in the case of land occupied by the army, found that Amit Agarwal and others, for the purchase and sale of 4.55 acres of land of MS plot no. conspired with. Chhavi Ranjan was paid one crore rupees for this deal. Pradeep Bagchi’s father was made the owner of the land by forgery in the original document related to this land in the Kolkata-based registry office under a well-planned conspiracy. After this, this land was sold to Jagat Bandhu Tea Estate, a company associated with Amit Agarwal, for only seven crore rupees. Investigation found that instead of Rs 7 crore mentioned in the sale deed, only Rs 25 lakh was given to Pradeep Bagchi. The remaining Rs 6.75 crore was not paid at all. The cost of the land at the government rate has been estimated at Rs 20 crore. ED has already arrested Pradeep Bagchi.

ED had got the forensic examination of the document done

During the investigation of the case, the ED seized the documents related to the land occupied by the army and sent them for forensic examination as per the order of the court. The tampering of the document has been confirmed in the forensic investigation. For the investigation of the land occupied by the army, the ED had made the basis of the FIR lodged by the Municipal Corporation on the allegation of taking the holding number on the basis of fake documents. The corporation had based the facts found in the investigation report of the then Divisional Commissioner Nitin Madan Kulkarni in this matter. The Divisional Commissioner had mentioned in his investigation report that Pradeep Bagchi had taken the holding number from the Municipal Corporation with the help of fake documents. The funniest thing about this episode is that the Divisional Commissioner started the investigation in the light of a complaint made by Pradeep Bagchi.
