Jharkhand: Devotees will take bath in Brahma Muhurta today on Kartik Purnima, Panchuk fast will end.

Kharsawan, Sachindra Kumar Dash: This year Kartik Purnima It is on 27th November (Monday). This day has been described as very important in the scriptures. There is a tradition of bathing in rivers and lakes on Kartik Purnima. Kartik Purnima is considered very auspicious for worship, river bathing and charity. Kartik Purnima bath will be done before sunrise. In most of the areas of Seraikela-Kharsawan, people will take bath on Kartik Purnima early in the morning on Monday.

Special worship on Kartik Purnima

After the bath of Kartik Purnima, people will reach the temples especially Shri Krishna Temple, Jagannath Temple and Hari Temple for worship. Most of the temples will be opened early in the morning on Monday. Special prayers will also be performed during this period. For this, special arrangements have been made in temples also. This year, on Kartik Purnima, a very rare combination of Yoga is taking place, which is beneficial for the devotees.

Rai-Damodar will be worshiped by making rangoli at Tulsi Mandap.

On Kartik Purnima, after the Kartik bath, women will make rangoli in front of the Tulsi plant and worship the Rai-Damodar form of Lord Vishnu. With this, Vishnu Panchuk fast will also end. It is known that for the last one week during Panchuk, the fasting people have been consuming satvik food only once a day. Food is prepared with special methods. The food eaten on Panchuk is called Habisanna. It is said that by performing virtuous deeds on Panchuk one attains salvation. This age-old tradition of the Oriya community is still going on. The darshan of Lord Jagannath on the occasion of Kartik Purnima is considered very important. People of Odia community consider Kartik Purnima as the most auspicious day and do every possible virtuous work on this day.
