Deoghar, Amarnath Poddar: After the finalization of the tender for the Deoghar-Basukinath four-lane road from the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the process of land acquisition has started rapidly. About 80 percent of the land acquisition process for the four-lane road in the four-lane area falling under Deoghar district has been completed. On the other hand, the process of acquisition in Basukinath area is relatively slow. According to departmental sources, notice is being sent by the department towards the process of payment of compensation in Dumka district, but there is no speed in the process of payment. Whereas, the work of fourlane is to start by the month of June. Let us tell you that for the Deoghar-Basukinath four-lane road, Punjab and Delhi based company Grover Construction Private Limited, listed with the National Highway Authority of India, has got this work for a total of Rs 999 crore.
There will be facilities for devotees
NHAI project manager Prabhat Ranjan Pandey told that this special route will be prepared for Kanwariyas on the left side of the road. Approval has been given for the construction of a 45 km long road with a four-lane road and a 20 feet wide corridor for pilgrims to walk at a cost of 976 crores. For this project, the central government has approved Rs 400 crore for land acquisition and utility shifting. The process of land acquisition from the Land Acquisition Department has also started. For their convenience, a 35-km Kanwariya Path will also be constructed between Deoghar-Basukinath parallel to the four-lane, which will be three and a half meters wide.
Greenland area will be 50 percent
In this route, road work will be done in 50 percent of the Greenland area. In this route, bypass will be constructed at Ghoramara, Taljhari, Sahara and Jarmundi. A 3.5 meter wide road will be made separately for Kanwariyas going to Basukinath on foot. Paver blocks will be installed on this path. This will become a kind of Kanwaria corridor.
