Jharkhand News: A prisoner of Koderma Mandal Jail died during treatment at Sadar Hospital on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Vivek Yadav father Taleshwar Yadav, resident of village Masani police station Chalkusha district Hazaribagh. According to the doctor, the prisoner died of a heart attack. Here, Barkattha MLA Amit Yadav has raised serious questions on the death of the prisoner. Putting a question mark on the jail administration in the whole matter, he has demanded a fair inquiry into the matter.
The accused was jailed for dowry harassment
According to the information, prisoner Vivek Yadav is lodged in Mandal Jail since last March on the charges of dowry harassment. On Tuesday, he was brought to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where he died. Jailer in-charge Abhishek Kumar told that at around 10 am on Tuesday, the detainee started having chest and spine pain. After this the doctor was called and he was treated. When the situation became critical, on the advice of the doctor, he was sent to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where he died.
There was a lot of pain in the chest and spine
Here, Dr. Parimal Tara, who is treating the prisoner, told that first this prisoner was treated in the jail itself, but when the patient’s condition did not improve, he was brought to Sadar Hospital, where he died during treatment. Dr. Parimal told that the captive patient had a lot of pain in the chest and spine. Was sweating too. From this it appears that the patient died of a heart attack.
Barkatta MLA reached Sadar Hospital, raised questions on death
Here, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the relatives of the deceased prisoner and Barkattha MLA Amit Kumar Yadav reached Sadar Hospital. Raising questions on the prisoner’s death, the MLA said that the death of the prisoner was due to the negligence of the jail administration. The prisoner was a healthy young man of 28 years. Relatives say that he did not have any disease. Then suddenly how did he become ill. If he had chest pain, then why was he not treated immediately. Said that if doctors were always in jail, such incidents would not have happened. Demanded a high-level inquiry into the matter. At the same time, the MLA said that the whole matter is sensitive. Now the post-mortem of the dead body has been done by forming a committee. The legislator termed it as murder. Said that the matter will be revealed only after an unbiased investigation. Also, the family members should get compensation.
