Jharkhand: Crowd gathered in trains to go home on Chhath festival, people have to struggle for seats.

Ranchi: A large crowd was seen at Ranchi station on Friday to go home on the occasion of Chhath festival. The crowd on Friday was less compared to the last two days. Even after this, people had to queue up to enter the station. Due to crowd, arrival was being done from one gate and departure was being done from the other gate. During this period, intensive ticket checking was also done. Additional police force of RPF was deployed to control the crowd. Despite this, a lot of difficulty was faced in controlling the crowd. The condition of the crowd was such that as soon as the train stopped, people had to struggle to enter it.

One additional coach each was installed:

Railways installed one additional coach each in the sleeper class of Hatia-Patna Patliputra, Islampur and Vananchal Express. Railway Division’s Senior Commercial Manager cum Chief Public Relations Officer Nishant Kumar said that the crowd had reduced on Friday. The operations remained completely normal. Railway officials and RPF security personnel were deployed to ensure that the passengers did not face any problem.

On the other hand, from Friday, train number 22349/22350 Patna-Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat and train number 18617/18618 Ranchi-New Giridih-Ranchi Express came and went via their scheduled route Barkakana-Mesra-Tatisilve instead of the changed route.
