Mone is a resident of West Singhbhum district. Presently he is absconding. The charge sheet against Mone has been made under various sections of IPC, UA (P) Act and Arms. This case was registered by NIA on June 30, 2022 (RC 03/2022/NIA/RNC).

Mone Tiu was part of the special action team

NIA investigation has revealed that Mone Tiu, an armed Naxalite of CPI (Maoist) was part of the special action team formed to carry out the said criminal incident.

He and his co-accused had looted the service INSAS rifle of a bodyguard of a former MLA. While committing the crime, he and another policeman were murdered. The former MLA narrowly escaped the attack.

Bail hearing of gangrape case convict completed

Jharkhand High Court heard the bail under the criminal appeal petition filed by Rajan Oraon, convicted in the gang rape case of a student of National Law University, Kanke. During this, a request was made on behalf of the applicant to grant bail while keeping the sentence suspended. After completion of the hearing in the case, the court reserved its decision on bail.

On behalf of the state government, advocate Bhola Nath Ojha said that now the decision in the case will come on April 9. It is noteworthy that the Fast Track Court of Ranchi had sentenced 11 culprits to life imprisonment in the gang rape case of a National Law University student.

Hearing on officer Ali’s bail plea on 12th

The court of Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad of Jharkhand High Court conducted a partial hearing on the bail petition filed by Officer Ali, accused in a money laundering case related to the purchase and sale of 4.55 acres of army-occupied land located in Bariatu.
