All India Congress Committee General Secretary cum Jharkhand Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir reached Ranchi on Tuesday on a two-day stay. He was given a warm welcome at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi. After this, he participated in the felicitation ceremony organized by Jharkhand Congress at Sangam Garden in Morhabadi. State Congress President Rajesh Thakur honored the newly appointed Jharkhand in-charge by giving him a shawl and a memento of Birsa Munda. Ministers, MLAs, state officials, district presidents and Congress workers from different districts participated in this felicitation ceremony.

Earlier, Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir was warmly welcomed by Congress State President Rajesh Thakur along with the workers at Birsa Munda Airport. While reaching the venue of the felicitation ceremony, the Jharkhand in-charge garlanded the statue of Birsa Munda at Birsa Chowk. While coming to the State Guest House, the workers welcomed the Jharkhand in-charge at Birsa Chowk, Argora Chowk, Harmu Chowk.

Jharkhand Congress President Rajesh Thakur said that the work done together with former state in-charge Avinash Pandey has to be taken forward with Ghulam Ahmed Mir. We will have to be determined to win 14 seats by strengthening the India alliance. Whatever guidance we receive from the in-charge, we will try our best to implement it. We have formed committees from Panchayat level to booth level. We will contest the 2024 elections with full strength. AICC Secretary Pranab Jha said that the workers of Jharkhand should be fully prepared for 2024. Democracy has to be saved. The Constitution has to be protected and its responsibility rests on the shoulders of Congress.
