Kisan Samagam will be held today in Gondpur, Kharsawan, Governor will attend
Kisan Samagam (agriculture fair cum training program) is being organized by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in Gondpur, Kharsawan on Monday. The program will be presided over by Governor CP Radhakrishnan, while Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda will be present as the chief guest. The program will start from 11 am. Regarding its preparation, officials of the Agriculture Ministry of the Central Government held a meeting and issued necessary guidelines. Dr. Anjani Kumar, Director of Indian Council of Agricultural Research Attari Zone, Dr. Jagarnath Oraon, Director of Extension Education Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, etc. were present in the meeting. It was told that the aim is to showcase various aspects of agricultural process and products, latest agricultural machinery, agricultural inputs and other aspects of farmer friendly practices. More than 100 stalls will be set up in the Kisan Samagam by government departments, private institutions, startups etc. related to agriculture and allied sectors. During this time, farmers will be given information about natural farming, use of drones in agriculture and developing agriculture as an enterprise and other related matters.
