Jharkhand: Bokaro court sentenced 2 convicts to 25-25 years in gang-rape after kidnapping a minor

Bokaro: In the case of kidnapping and gang-raping a 16-year-old girl, on Monday, the court sentenced two convicts Irfan Siddiqui and Mohd Irfan Ansari, residents of Petarwar, to 25-25 years of rigorous imprisonment. The court of Additional Sessions Judge III Rajeev Ranjan sentenced. Along with this, a fine of Rs 20 thousand was also imposed. In default of payment of fine, he will have to undergo simple imprisonment for one year. In this case, an FIR was registered at Petarwar police station on 10 March 2022 on the statement of the victim’s grandfather.

In addition, the court of Additional Sessions Judge III Rajeev Ranjan imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 while sentencing him to seven years rigorous imprisonment under section 366A/34. Failure to pay the fine will result in additional simple imprisonment for six months. The amount of the fine will be given to the victim. In this case, an FIR was registered at Petarwar police station on 10 March 2022 on the statement of the victim’s grandfather. According to the FIR, the girl had left home for school. At the behest of a friend, she sat on their bike with the two convicts to go to the party, but Irfan Siddiqui and Mo. Irfan Ansari took her to Tenughat. Stopped the bike there in a deserted area. When the teenager suspected of being wrong, she started asking to go to her house, but instead of leaving the house, both of them gang-raped her.

When the girl did not return home till late evening, the relatives started searching. Later the Petarwar police was informed about the missing. At eight o’clock in the night, both the convicts called the girl’s family and threatened to not find her, told them to take the girl to the Imambara in Bazartand. The relatives were waiting in the market place, when they left the girl unconscious on the road and ran away. However, later the police arrested both the culprits.
