Jharkhand: Angered by love affair, father shot dead minor daughter, police arrested, gun seized

Ranka (Garhwa): On the night of Mahaparva Chhath, a minor daughter was shot dead by her father in Nagari village of Ranka police station of Garhwa district. The police took action and arrested the father Sanjay Singh. It is being told that the minor was having an affair with a boy. His father was angry with this. While meeting the boy, his angry father shot him dead. After committing the murder, the father brought the body of the minor and kept it in the house. When the matter came to notice, the police took immediate action and arrested the father and sent him to jail. The police have also confiscated the gun.

Minor’s father was angry with love affair

SDPO Santosh Kumar told that on the night of Chhath festival, the father had shot and killed the minor daughter. During the investigation, it was revealed that Sanjay Singh himself had killed his minor daughter (15 years) by shooting her in the chest with a gun. SDPO said that the minor was in love with a boy from a nearby village. The boy had come to meet the minor at around eight o’clock on the night of Chhath Mahaparva. The girl had gone to meet him at a short distance from the house. When the father did not find his daughter in the house, he angrily picked up a gun and set out to search for her. After going a short distance behind the house, a boy and his daughter were seen. As soon as he saw the girl’s father, the boy ran away from there. Here, in anger the father shot and killed the daughter.

Body of minor daughter kept in the house after murder

After committing the murder, the father brought the body of the minor and kept it in the house. When the matter came to notice, the police took immediate action and arrested the father Sanjay Singh and sent him to jail. The police have also confiscated the gun. The raiding team included police station in-charge Shankar Prasad Kushwaha and soldiers.
