The house situated along the GT Road in Lembua was demolished by the administration by carrying out an encroachment campaign. The action was taken under the leadership of Barkatha zonal officer Shrikant Lal Manjhi in the presence of NHAI officials and Gorhar police. The administration demolished the shop and house of Ramchandra Sao, Mohar Nayak, Ashok Abhiram, residents of village Lembua located on GT Road. Shop owner Ramchandra Sao says that we are poor people, we used to support the family by opening a small hotel. Demolished by NHAI without compensation. Ashok Abhiram said that this land of ours is a tenant’s land, for which compensation was not even given and the administration destroyed it. In this regard, Circle Officer Shrikant Lal Manjhi said that the order to demolish the house had come from above. The family members were informed several times in advance to demolish the house, but they did not vacate the house. A large number of armed forces and police forces were present during the encroachment.
