Jharkhand: Administration bowed to political pressure, complaint against MLA Amba Prasad and Yogendra Sao withdrawn

Ranchi: Due to heavy political pressure, Hazaribagh district administration has changed the format of the FIR in the case of illegal occupation of government land. On November 22, the circle officer had applied to the police station requesting to register an FIR against Congress MLA Amba Prasad and former MLA Yogendra Sao. In the same matter, a second application was given to the police station on 23 November. In this, a request was made to register an FIR against unknown people on charges of land grabbing.

It is written in the application that 50 decimal land of Cantonment Mauza is being encroached upon by unknown people. This land was given on lease to Mohammad Ehsan. The lease has not been renewed after March 31, 2008. Despite this, the said people obstructed government work and occupied government land. This application is being dedicated for filing FIR in this regard.

Khas Mahal revenue employee had submitted the report

Based on the investigation report of the Khas Mahal revenue employee, the Deputy Commissioner had ordered to stop illegal encroachment on government land. In the light of this order, on November 11, the administrative officials had stopped the work of construction of boundary wall on the land. The revenue employee had submitted a report against MLA Amba Prasad and former MLA Yogendra Sao related to illegal construction of boundary wall on the land. Despite stopping the work of boundary wall construction and ban on construction, the valuable land of Sadar area was cordoned off with tin sheets.

After getting information about the matter, the revenue employee gave a report against Amba Prasad and Yogendra Sao regarding laying siege to take possession of the land. On the basis of this report, the Deputy Commissioner ordered to break the cordon and free the government land from encroachment and register an FIR against the encroachers. On the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, the siege was dismantled on 22 November in the presence of administrative officials.

After this, the Circle Officer of Sadar circle wrote an official letter to the police station in-charge to register an FIR. It was said that 50 decimal land of Cantonment Mauza is being illegally occupied by Amba Prasad and Yogendra Sao. When they refused, government officials were threatened. After this, due to political pressure, the district administration hastily filed a second application accusing unknown persons of taking over the land.
