The NDA government led by Nitish Kumar in Bihar won the trust vote on Monday. But even after this the political turmoil in the state has not stopped. On one hand, JDU MLA Sundhashu Shekhar has accused his own party’s MLA Dr. Sanjeev Kumar and RJD leader Engineer Sunil of offering Rs 10 crore or ministerial post to JDU MLAs. On the other hand, news is coming that Awadhesh Mandal, husband of JDU MLA Bima Bharti, has been arrested by the police under the Arms Act.
Nine people arrested under Arms Act
The police have arrested a total of nine people for illegally using licensed rifles. Registering a case in this regard, the police, under the leadership of Assistant Superintendent of Police Aparajit Lohan, presented it in Barh Civil Court late on Monday night from where all the accused have been sent to jail in judicial custody.
Rifle found in car during checking in bypass
According to the information, Mokama police had started checking campaign in the bypass. During this, some people were caught with three rifles from a vehicle. During investigation of the license of the rifle, it was found that the license was issued in the name of JDU MLA Bima Bharti and her daughter, which was being used by her husband and others. In this regard, police registered a case in violation of the Arms Act and conducted investigation.
All the accused were sent to jail
After this, all the accused were presented in the Barh Court amidst tight security arrangements. After production, all the accused have been sent to jail. The MLA appealed to the ASP to release his son from custody. But he did not get relief. Barh’s Assistant Superintendent of Police Aparajit Lohan said that all the people have been arrested for violating the Arms Act.
Arrest made under conspiracy: Bima Bharti
JDU MLA Bima Bharti said that her husband and others have been arrested as part of the conspiracy and their license is valid. Her husband and others were locked in the police station for several hours and she was not even informed about it. When they investigated, it came to light that all the people had been arrested. This action was one-sided.

Bima Bharti has said that her husband was unwell. She was coming to Patna with her husband on Monday when the police stopped her car in Mokama. Her husband and son were taken to Mokama police station. Due to this he was late in reaching the House. She said that during this time she was in touch with Minister Shravan Kumar and other senior leaders of JDU.
Claim of going with RJD wrong: Bima Bharti
Bima Bharti alleged that the SP came and took away her husband and son without giving any reason. She said that she was with JDU with dedication. The claim of going with RJD is wrong. Misleading propaganda was carried out about him. His image was tarnished. Due to this, confusion spread about him within the party. Said that I was continuously giving information about my location to the senior leaders of the party.
