Shah Rukh Khan’s film written and directed by Atlee is the story of Vikram Rathod and his son Azad. Both the characters have been played by Shahrukh Khan. Azad is a messiah who has promised to bring justice to those people. To whom the system has done injustice. From farmer suicides to bringing the health minister in line, Azad is a man everyone would adore. Vikram Rathore is his father and how he becomes the savior of humanity is also an emotional story. Nayantara is a policeman, who gets married to Azad. Sanya Malhotra, Lehar Khan, Sangeeta Bhattacharya and others join Azad’s army. Vijay Sethupathi the villain, powerful businessman who is an arms dealer. Deepika Padukone has to play a cameo role, as she is Azad’s mother and is part of the backstory. Sanjay Dutt also has an extended cameo in the film and his role is interesting.
