Janmashtami 2023: Mathura-Vrindavan celebrated the birth of Krishna, Mangala Aarti of Laddoo Gopal was performed in Banke Bihari.

The moving idol of Lord Krishna was anointed by placing it on a throne made of silver lotus flower. Also, 500 kg of rose flowers and perfume were showered. Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das Maharaj, Managing Trustee Anurag Dalmiya, Secretary Kapil Sharma, Member Gopeshwar Nath Chaturvedi anointed saffron with 251 kg of Panchamrit.

The doors of Banke Bihari Temple were opened at 1:55 pm.

After the consecration, Shri Krishna was given Navratna necklace, gold flute, bracelet as well as Gota Mukut made of brocade and Braj Ratna. Panjiri, Meva Paag was offered as bhog. More than 7 lakh devotees reached Mathura to celebrate Janmashtami. The condition of the crowd was such that there was no space to set foot in the area of ​​about 5 kilometers around Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple. The doors were opened at Banke Bihari temple at 1:55 pm with Mangala Aarti. Please tell that Mangala Aarti is held only once in a year in Banke Bihari.

2 kilometer long line for darshan

In Dwarkadhish temple, devotees are dancing and singing hymns of Kanha to the tune of Shehnai. The consecration of the Lord also took place in the world’s tallest Chandrodaya temple. At Banke Bihari, there was a 2 kilometer long queue for the darshan of Laddu Gopal. Some lanes leading to the temple were sealed. At 12 o’clock in the night in the Banke Bihari temple, the Lord was anointed with milk, curd, boora, honey and ghee.

After this, Thakur ji was specially decorated. This consecration is done in solitude due to which a curtain was drawn in front of the temple. The doors of Banke Bihari were not opened. According to the Mahant of the temple, Aarti of Laddu Gopal form is performed only once a year in Banke Bihari temple. And on other days, Aarti of Banke Bihari is performed which is called Shayan Aarti.

Only the devotees standing in line got entry into the temple.

Last year, on the occasion of Janmashtami, two women had died due to heavy rush of devotees after Mangla Aarti at Banke Bihari temple. But this time about 15 minutes before Mangala Aarti, devotees were given entry according to their capacity in Banke Bihari temple hall. After that the main gates of the temple were closed. And remain closed till Mangala Aarti is done. After Mangala Aarti, the main doors of the temple were opened. After which the devotees engaged in the queue outside entered the temple.
