Jan Aushadhi Kendra: The central government is committed to provide affordable health facilities. The government is especially making efforts to provide cheap medicines to the people. For this, Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened across the country. Now the central government has taken a big decision to provide cheap and good medicines at many railway stations of Uttar Pradesh. The central government is preparing to open Jan Aushadhi Kendras at seven railway stations of the state.

However, in the first phase, 50 Jan Aushadhi Kendras will be opened across the country. In this sequence, under the first phase, it has been decided to open Jan Aushadhi Kendras at seven places in UP as well. In the first phase in the state, it has been decided to open Jan Aushadhi Kendras at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Station (Mughalsarai), Virangana Laxmi Bai Station (Jhansi), Banaras, Lucknow Jn, Gorakhpur Jn, Agra Cantt and Mathura station.

21 states in the first phase

Railway has started preparations to open Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Soon the Railways will conduct an e-auction for Jan Aushadhi Kendras at these stations. Now rail passengers and common people will also be able to get cheap medicines at these stations. The Ministry of Railways has taken this decision under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra Yojana. According to the decision of the Railways, in the first phase, 50 stations of 21 states have been kept under this scheme.

Initiative will be taken in these states

Under the first phase, 50 stations in Andra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal But cheap medicines will be available. In this, it has been decided to open maximum seven centers at the railway stations of Uttar Pradesh.

In this regard, the Ministry of Railways has issued an order on Friday. It has been said in the order of the Ministry. “Its objective is to make available quality medicines and consumables (Jan Aushadhi Products) at affordable prices to all.” Outlets will also be made available to them at stations by the Railways to open medicine centres.

Target to open 10 thousand centers by March 2024

With the aim of making generic medicines available to the common people of the country at low prices, the central government had brought the scheme of Jan Aushadhi Kendra. After the initial success, now the central government is rapidly increasing the number of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the country. The Central Government has set a target of increasing the number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country to 10,000 by March 2024.

These rules for opening Jan Aushadhi Kendra

To open Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra, you have to make an application, whose fee is Rs 5,000. Keep in mind here that to open these centers, the applicant should have D. Pharma or B. Pharma certificate is a must. Apart from this, you should also have enough space to open the center, whose area has been fixed at around 120 square feet. During the application process, a provision has also been made for exemption of fee for the applicants of special category and special area.

Government gives financial help

After opening the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra, financial help from the government is given in the form of incentive amount. A rule has been made at the Center to give 15 per cent incentive on monthly purchase of medicines up to Rs 5 lakh or up to a maximum of Rs 15,000 per month. A lump sum amount of two lakh rupees is given as an additional incentive amount by the government as a reimbursement for infrastructure expenditure in special categories or areas.

The second category includes trusts, NGOs, private hospitals etc. In the third category, the nominated agencies of the state governments also get the opportunity to open Jan Aushadhi Kendras. 35 percent commission on medicines

Up to 20 percent commission is available on the sale of medicines in Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Along with this, an incentive of 15 per cent is also given on every month’s sales. Financial assistance of about Rs 2.5 lakh to 2.75 lakh is also provided by the government for furniture and other necessary clothes to open a shop under Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra Yojana.

  • Click on the Click Here To Apply option on the new page.

  • Now the Sign in form will open, below which select the Register now option.

  • After doing this, the registration form will open on your screen, fill the information sought in it.

  • After this, select the state in the drop box and enter the confirm password in the ID-password section.

  • After this you have to tick on the terms and conditions and then click on the submit option.

  • Now your online application process for PM Jan Aushadhi Kendra will be completed.
