Jamshedpur XLRI Director Father Sebastian George SJ said, provision of 480 million dollars for Fifth Gen Technology Startup.

Jamshedpur: Artificial Intelligence started in the 1950s. In the current budget, the government has made a provision of $480 million for Fifth Generation Technology Startups, which includes Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, 3-D Printing and Block Chain. There is a myth about Artificial Intelligence that it will reduce job opportunities, but this is not the case at all. This will not have any negative impact on employment, rather it will make human life much easier. XLRI Director Father Sebastian George SJ said these things. He was addressing as the chief guest in the Doctoral Colloquium organized at XLRI.

Conference concludes at XLRI
In this three-day colloquium, scholars from different parts of the country and the world presented papers on the topic of Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability. A total of 117 papers were submitted from India including Nepal, Oman, Spain and UK. In which a total of 62 papers were finally presented after review. In this, 19 doctoral scholars were from XLRI while other 43 scholars were from various universities and educational institutions of the country and the world.

Researchers who presented papers rewarded
During this, the researchers who presented better papers in the final were rewarded. XLRI Director Father Sebastian George SJ said that the government is planning to promote research, training, human resources and skill development in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Digital Manufacturing, Big Data Intelligence, Real Time Data and Quantum Communication. He also said that he also mentioned that many challenges will emerge from AI in the coming days. Whereas, Father Donald D’Silva S.J. Highlighted the need to balance work and self-investment to avoid stress. Dr. Sanjay Patro stressed the need for meaningful research. Also described Artificial Intelligence as a rapidly emerging field. He shared examples of various use cases of AI and its need from the industry.
