Jamshedpur: Mourning spread in Bahda village, father could not see his son safely out of the tunnel.

Jamshedpur: Bhaktu Murmu, son of Bahda village of Dumariya block, was trapped in the tunnel of Uttarkashi for 17 days. He came out safely on Tuesday night. There was mourning in his village on Wednesday. 70 year old father Barsha Murmu died due to shock after his son got trapped in the tunnel. The father died in the morning, while the son got a new life at night. It is being said that the father died due to heart failure. Barsa’s wife Piti Murmu is in shock. He told that Barsa was always worried about his son. Did not sleep properly at night. On Tuesday morning, after breakfast, he was sitting on the cot with his son-in-law at around 8 o’clock. Suddenly he collapsed and died. Bhaktu Murmu is currently in Rishikesh AIIMS, Uttarakhand. His brother Ram Rai Murmu works as a laborer in Chennai. One brother Mangal Murmu is at home. Mangal Murmu performed the last rites of his father on Tuesday evening.

Police reached the news of death of laborer’s father

Dumariya police station in-charge Sanjeevan Oraon reached Bahada village on Wednesday. The laborers met the bereaved family members of Bhaktu Murmu. Dumariya’s BDO Chanchala Kumari and police station incharge Manikpur village went to meet the family members and inquire about their condition. BDO and police station in-charge told the family that Bhaktu Murmu has been safely taken out of the tunnel. Will return home soon. Let us tell you that 41 laborers were trapped in the tunnel accident that occurred on November 12 in Uttarakhand. The workers were thrown out on 28 November.
