Second terrorist killed during encounter in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir
Security forces killed one more terrorist during an encounter in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, taking the number of terrorists killed during the three-day operation in a remote village of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir to three.

Both the suspects escaped under the cover of darkness and dense forest. They left behind a bag, some clothes and other items which were recovered by search parties.
Tribute paid to martyr Rifleman Ravi Kumar
A tribute ceremony was organized for martyred Rifleman Ravi Kumar of Kishtwar district at the Army post in Rajouri early on Wednesday. Deputy Commissioner (Rajouri) Vikas Kundal and senior Army officers as well as other ranks laid wreaths on Kumar’s coffin. His mortal remains were airlifted to his hometown for cremation with full military honours. Army dog martyred while trying to save handler
A defense spokesperson said a brave army dog was martyred while trying to save its handler during Tuesday’s firing. The spokesperson said, Army’s dog Kent was at the forefront of Operation Sujaligala. She was leading a team of soldiers to track down the fleeing terrorists. She was caught in heavy firing. He followed the best traditions of the Indian Army and sacrificed his life while protecting his handler.
About 26 terrorists were killed in encounters this year.
On September 4, a terrorist was killed and two security personnel were injured in Gali Sohab village near Chasana area of Reasi district. About 26 terrorists were killed and 10 security personnel were martyred in the encounters this year in the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
