The encounter between security forces and terrorists continues for the third day on Friday in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have surrounded two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in Gadol Kokernag area of Anantnag district. Security forces are being helped by drones to keep an eye on the entire area. If reports are to be believed, the hilly areas are being bombed with the help of drones.
There is news of one more soldier being martyred in action during the encounter. Meanwhile, officials said on Friday that a soldier is missing in the ongoing anti-terrorist operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, where two army officers and a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) were martyred in the firing on Wednesday.
Officials said that three soldiers were martyred in the ambush. Since then, the search operation is going on in the area and the search for terrorists is going on rapidly. It is being told that the security forces have made a special plan to catch the terrorists hiding in the Garol forest of Anantnag. People’s anger erupted on Pakistan: The martyred soldiers included Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonak and DSP Humayun Bhat. After his martyrdom, there is anger against Pakistan in the entire country and anti-Pakistan slogans were raised at many places. On Thursday, pictures and videos of protests against Pakistan were seen in many cities of the country including Jammu. Hundreds of workers protested in Pakka Danga under the leadership of BJP Jammu and Kashmir unit president Arun Prabhat.
Crowd gathered at the houses of martyred soldiers: As soon as the news of the martyrdom of Colonel Manpreet Singh and Major Ashish Dhonak in Anantnag reached their village, a large number of people reached their homes to console their families. Here people were seen saying that the army should give a befitting reply to the terrorists for this cowardly act. Colonel Manpreet Singh was a resident of Mullanpur in Mohali while Major Ashish Dhonak was a resident of Panipat. The families of both the soldiers are inconsolable.
The mortal remains of Major Ashish Dhochak, who was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, was brought to Panipat, Haryana, where his last rites were performed.
