Jamani Tigga was murdered by goat thieves, one arrested

Gumla: Jamani Tigga of Mahuatoli village was murdered after seeing goat theft and identifying the thieves. Sursang police, instigating the ground murder case, arrested the primary accused, Samiullah Shah, resident of Mahuatoli, and sent him to jail on Monday, while the accused Nasruddin Shah and a minor are absconding. SDPO Vikas Anand Laguri said that after the murder of Jamni Tigga, on the instructions of the senior officer, a team was formed and investigation was started, in which Samiullah Shah, resident of Sursang, was arrested from Ambikapur Surguja in Chhattisgarh state.

He admitted his crimes. The accused told that he along with his associate Nasruddin Shah of Mahuatoli and a minor murdered Jamni. All three of them smoked sting, ganja and cigarettes in a rock on the side of the paved road leading to Manjhatoli Ramrekha in Mahuatoli. A plan was made to steal a goat nearby. While the above mentioned three were stealing the goat, Jamni Tigga saw it and started screaming loudly. Then all three of them threw Jamani Tigga on a rock and left him half dead. No one should know. For this reason, all three together murdered Jamani Tigga by strangulating her with her saree. The other two accused involved in the case are absconding. Both will be arrested soon. SHO Dev Pratap Pradhan, SI Kapil Deepak Nag, constable Virendra Kumar Tirkey, Surendra Oraon, Manoj Kujur, Kuldeep Khes were present in the raid.

Lost girl found from family

A 12-year-old deaf and mute girl was wandering in Amaliya village of the block, who was handed over to Bharno police station by village social worker Vicky Singh. After much effort the girl was found. The said girl is the daughter of Yusuf Darwani of Narkopi police station area, who was missing from home. The girl is deaf and dumb. The girl’s parents reached Bharno police station and took their daughter along.
