Izhar Ansari proved motorcycles as trucks in black marketing of coal.

Shakeel Akhtar, Ranchi: Coal trader Izhar Ansari sold the cheap coal he got in the name of his factories in the markets of Banaras and Bihar. To cover up this black marketing, he prepared fake documents claiming to deliver the coal to his factory. In this, the numbers of trucks mentioned for transporting coal from collieries to factories were found to be of motorcycles during investigation. Izhar owns 13 such companies, in whose name he used to get coal at lower prices in the light of the policy prepared by the Central Government. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had seized many documents related to coal business during the raid on Izhar’s premises.

In some of these documents, there is mention of the coal received by Ijhar’s factories being lifted from the colliery and taken for black marketing. In this register, details of trucks being sent to Banaras and Bihar after lifting coal from the colliery are recorded. In this register related to black marketing, the date of coal lifting from the colliery, the date of sending to Banaras, Dehri and the weight of coal is mentioned. In the second register found from Izhaar’s house, details of transporting coal to factories are recorded to cover up this black marketing. In this register, the numbers of trucks used to transport coal from collieries to factories are recorded.

Fraud caught in ED investigation:

As a sample, the ED examined the numbers of some trucks used to deliver coal from the colliery to companies named ‘Okasa Coke Division’, Tanjil Refractory and ‘Rumana Fuel’. It was found that the truck JH02AA-7322 shown in the register was actually a motorcycle. According to the details registered in Hazaribagh Transport Office, this motorcycle belongs to Santosh Kumar Singh. He is the second owner of this motorcycle. But, Izhar has mentioned in the register that he carried 25.65 MT of coal to his factory on this motorcycle.

In the register of expression, there is mention of Altaf Khan’s motorcycle JH02T-7366 delivering 24.50 MT of coal to Tanjil Refractory. Altaf Khan is also the second owner of this coal carrying motorcycle. In the register, there is mention of Prakash Mahato’s motorcycle number JH02W-1520 delivering 23.95 MT of coal to Tanjil Refractory. Similarly, in this register prepared to cover up the black marketing of coal, it has been mentioned that Ganesh Kumar delivered 25.30 MT of coal to Rumana Fuels on his motorcycle JH19 A-6768.
