Israel targets refugee camp

Palestinians were allowed to leave the city for the first time amid more than three weeks of siege of Gaza, where a refugee camp was targeted by Israeli air strikes for the second day on Wednesday. Amid worsening conditions, 110 foreign passport holders were allowed to leave Gaza as of Wednesday afternoon, according to Palestine Crossing Authority spokesman Wael Abu Omar. According to Omar, six buses carrying 335 foreign passport holders left Gaza for Egypt via the Rafah crossing by Wednesday afternoon. The authority said that under this scheme, more than 400 foreign passport holders were allowed to go to Egypt.
