The ministry said that an agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas to extend the ceasefire for the next two days. This announcement of extending the ceasefire by two more days was made on the last day of the four-day ceasefire between the warring parties. This ceasefire which came into effect has brought relief to 23 lakh people of Gaza.
The United Nations has said that the ceasefire has opened the way for supply of food items, water and medicines on a large scale. Not only this, the supply of LPG has also been started. For the first time since the war started, there has been success in supplying cooking gas.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the war will continue after the ceasefire ends. He also said that the military capabilities of Hamas will be destroyed and its 16-year-long rule in Gaza will be ended. Netanyahu has promised to free 240 hostages.
