Interest of domestic and foreign companies in Jharkhand, women power is the first priority of the government, Governor said on Republic Day

Rajlakshmi, Ranchi: On the occasion of Republic Day, Governor CP Radhakrishnan hoisted the flag at Morhabadi Ground in the capital Ranchi. After this, while addressing the people of the state, he wished everyone a happy Republic Day. In his address, Governor Radhakrishnan said that our Constitution came into force on this day. On this day I salute our freedom fighters, who gave independence to the country. Along with this, he remembered and paid tribute to all the brave sons of Jharkhand including Birsa Munda, Sidho-Kanho, Phulo-Jhano, Thakur Vishwanath Shahdev, Pandey Ganpat Rai, Tikait Umrao Singh. Apart from this, he also paid tribute to the brave soldiers, police forces and paramilitary forces standing guard on the borders and said – Let us take a pledge on the special day of Republic Day that we will maintain the unity and integrity of our nation.

Governor enumerated the achievements of the state

The Governor said, our state Jharkhand is an agricultural state. Majority of the people of the state are based on agriculture. Both agriculture and farmers’ progress are priorities of our government. In order to expand irrigation facilities in the state, revival work of some 49 irrigation schemes has been completed. Through PM Janman Yojana, efforts are being made to connect the tribal groups, especially the primitive tribal groups, with the mainstream. Eco tourism also has immense potential in our state. Deoghar AIIMS is a milestone in the direction of providing better health facilities to the poor of the state. Our government has given top priority to education. 80 CM School of Excellence has been started by the state government to provide better education. So far 54 new colleges have been established for the development and expansion of higher education. For those students of the state who are deprived of further education due to financial circumstances after passing 12th, the government has started the Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme. The police and paramilitary personnel in the state have made great achievements in controlling Naxalism. Continuous efforts are being made towards modernizing the police and making it resourceful so that the police can do its work uninterrupted.

Indian and foreign companies taking interest in investing in Jharkhand

His Excellency said that today many big industrial companies from India and abroad are taking interest in investing in Jharkhand. The main objective of the policy is to transform the state from a landlocked state to a landlinked state. Jharkhand IT Data Center and BPO Investment Promotion Policy 2023 and Jharkhand Startup Policy 2023 have been informed by our government under Information Technology. The youth of the state growing in the field of items and startups can be encouraged towards entrepreneurship. To take the state towards development, the government is laying a network of roads throughout the state. In the financial year 2023-24, 81 roads, 2 bridges and 3 over bridge schemes have also been formally started at a cost of Rs 2096 crore. The condition of railway operations in Jharkhand has also continuously improved. Work has been done to connect the state with other areas of the country through new trains like Bande Bharat Express. To improve air transportation, a new airport has also been established in Deoghar. The work of starting flight services in Dumka and Bokaro is also in its final stages.

Women empowerment is the top priority of the government: Governor

Apart from this, the Governor said that women empowerment is the top priority of the government. Through Livelihood Mission, women are being made self-reliant with financial and technical help. To provide housing to the poor of the state, in the coming 3 years, 8 lakh families will be provided housing under Abu Awas Yojana and PM Awas Yojana. The government is encouraging the players who have won medals at the international level in the state by providing them a cash amount of Rs 5 crore. The government has also recently got success in organizing the Asian Championship Trophy and FIH Olympics. The government is also implementing the provision of 75 percent reservation in the private sector for local youth. Through the Aapke Dwar program, your government is reaching out to the government machinery, medicine panchayats and taking the benefits of those schemes to the villagers. On the occasion of this Republic Day, we will once again restore our responsibility towards India.

Corruption should not be allowed to become a hindrance to development: Governor

Governor CP Radhakrishnan Said, we have completed 75 years of independence and are celebrating Amrit Varsh with great pride. PM Modi has prepared a road map to develop the country by 2047. Youth are being linked together to realize the Developed India Campaign 2047. Our government has always focused on development with good governance and justice. Corruption should not be allowed to hinder these government schemes from reaching the people. Corruption in any form and at any level cannot be tolerated.
