Indian railway: Fire broke out in food stall at Kanpur Central station, stampede among passengers

Kanpur , On June 12, a fire broke out in a food stall on platform number 9 of the Central Railway Station. Suddenly a fire broke out. There was a stir among the passengers due to the fire. Due to short circuit in the upper part of the food stall, the fire took a huge form. By the time the food stall workers could understand, the sound of crackers started coming out due to shorting in the electric wires. Railway employees and passengers together brought the fire under control by pouring water into the food stall. After extinguishing the fire, the fire engine could reach the central station.

The fire took a formidable form

A fire broke out in a food stall selling eatables at Kanpur Central platform number 9 at around 1 pm on Monday. The operator of Goyal & Goyal stall told that suddenly there was a sound like crackers above the stall. As soon as I saw it, the fire started burning above the stall. By the time the operator could understand something, the fire had taken its dreadful form. Railway personnel, stall owners and passengers together started pouring water from buckets.

Chaos in the platform

As soon as the passengers got the information about the fire, there was chaos on the platform. RPF and GRP personnel reached the spot. On information, a fire engine arrived, but by then the stall owners had put the fire under control. Due to the fire, a lot of goods kept in the canteen stall were burnt to ashes. Due to which there has been a loss of thousands. At present, there has been no loss of any kind.
